Picking up our new caravan

Well, today has been a long time coming.  We'd previously seen our caravan waiting for the pre-delivery inspection in the storage area.   I think that we shouldn't have been there but a chain across the area had been taken down so didn't look as if it was out of bounds.  We'd noticed then that there was condensation in one of the reversing lights and had asked them to look at it.  On picking up the caravan, it was still the same.   (in the end, Mike found that the seal was in upside down and that the drain was facing upwards.)  They quickly got some one to look at it and also install the battery that we'd paid for.
After being shown how to do all the things with the caravan, we hooked up to get home.  Mike had brought 2 full calor-lite gas bottles to install in the gas locker as he was worried about the nose-weight on the empty caravan.  On measuring the weight after putting the gas bottles in, it was 70kg!  It was just as well that we'd brought the gas.  Mike was wanting to check the torque settings on the wheel bolts on the way home but every lay-by that we came across was occupied.  Eventually, we found one just outside Burbage and Mike checked the settings.  All OK and we're off again.
We got the caravan on the street and started to use the mover.   Oooh, I could get used to this!  In the past, we've always had to manhandle the caravan onto our drive and push like billy-ho to get it up the slight slope.

Anyway, we're sat inside discovering everything that's new and our neighbours came over so it was out with the prosecco to have a christening!!!
